The Brooklynite cocktail menu has received a seasonal makeover with six new drinks that go in totally different directions.
Bar manager Omar Cormier said that he was inspired to create a series of cocktail recipes that hit on a wide variety of spirits.
One of the drinks named Never Do This ($9), is tequila based with citrus juices and a cinnamon stick. It comes served in a large plastic bag that resembles a boozy Capri-Sun.
The glass for The Big Trouble in Little China-China ($10), which mixes Italian sweet vermouth with Jamaican rum and Bigallet China-China Amer Bitter Liqueur, is tucked into a Chinese carryout food container. And the creamy Cereal Milk Punch Vellocet ($10) is served in a small, textured milk glass.
“I’m one of those guys that set out to make some serious cocktails, but in a nonserious way,” Cormier said. “I have noticed that a lot more people have been taking photos of their drinks with the new menu, so that’s part of the fun.”
The new drink menu was launched in November and is expected to remain throughout the winter months.
