Meteorologist Collin Myers said the colder air will surge southward across the United States, not unlike what happened earlier this month.
He said it appears that cold temperatures are becoming more possible, but the timing is still coming into agreement.
The weekend of the Dec. 23 and 24 will be when the changes sweep into Texas.
Over the last few days, different models have been starting to show precipitation mixes in the state of Texas on the weekend prior.
Collin said that we are still very far out, and cold rain looks most likely.
But stay apprised in the coming days as we near the holiday weekend. Is there a chance for some type of mix and maybe some snow? Maybe. At this point, Collin can’t say no.
