HAMPTON ROADS, Va. — The high winds and rain from Tropical Storm Michael have caused power outages across the state, including in Hampton Roads.
According to the Dominion Energy outage map, there were more than 250,000 without power across the southeastern part of Virginia, the Middle Peninsula and northeast North Carolina at 1 a.m. Friday.
According to the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, there were 361,000 citizens without power across the state as of 1 a.m. Nearly 160,000 were without power in the Richmond metro area.
