SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Independent School District will take a stand on gun violence in schools on Monday.
Less than three weeks ago, 17 people were killed in a Valentine’s Day massacre at a high school in South Florida.
As a result, the SAISD will host a special board meeting on Monday to discuss a resolution related to school shootings in the United States.
We reached out to a district spokesperson who said the school board is considering the resolution as a way to take a stand on gun violence on school campuses in communities. No other information was released.
More details about the resolution should become available following the special board meeting.
