VERNON, Texas – The city’s lighted Christmas parade Dec. 9 was the biggest and brightest the city has seen since the tradition began in 2006.
The parade was sponsored by the Christmas on the Western Trail Lighted Parade Committee.
This year’s event included more than 40 entries. Of course, the float with Santa and Mrs. Claus was a crowd favorite, as always.
The parade rounded out a day full of events, including booths around the Wilbarger County Courthouse, children’s activities at the former Central Fire Station and special events at many downtown businesses.
